BOOKS WANTED FOR AFRICAN MISSION: We are collecting new or gently used story and/or picture books for the primary school library at Mutambara Mission inZimbabwe. Please drop off books at the church office and we will see that they get sent to Africa in October. Thank you! - Pastor Ray
YOUTH UPDATE: “Lift It Up” will open up the fall season at Camp Hough on Silver Lake Sunday September 7th from 5:00-7:30. The dates for the 2014-15 school year will be September 7, October 5, November 2, December 7, January 4, February 1, March 1, May 3 and June 7. There will be no “Lift It Up” in April as it falls on Easter.
SPECIAL MUSIC: Thank you to everyone who has performed for us during the summer and Thank You to Bernie Halstead for coordinating it. The schedule of performers for the rest of the summer is: Jenna & Hailey Evans.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: Here at Perry First UMC, the children’s Sunday School classes will be sponsoring Operation Christmas Child again this year. You are all invited to join the children and participate in this wonderful project. You may fill a box or bring items to go into a box. CHURCH CONFERENCE: BOTH of our church charge conferences (CUMC and PFUMC) will be held on Sat, Nov. 8th from 2-4pm AT the Warsaw UMC.
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES: Begin September 7! Children Pre K through grade 6 will be taught by Virginia Winter and Donna Devitt. A class for kids 7thgrade and up will be meeting alternating weeks. This class will be lead by Jane Pascoe and Kellie Milhollen. We will be looking at “What?”- scripture verses and asking “So What?”-interpretation of the verses and “Now What?” – the “How can I use them in my life?” Class Schedule: September 7, 21, October 5, 19, November 2, 16, 30, December 14
