Subject: Church news

The Daily News is exploring replacing the Saturday religion pages (pages A-6 and A-7) with news content based on the interests and readership trends of our audience. Under this scenario, we would continue to publish the two-page church listings that run in the sports section but no longer publish free religion briefs on pages A-6 and A-7.

We are considering a plan to possibly charge a fee for religion briefs, $10 per week depending on length. We would appreciate your ideas and feedback on this issue as soon as possible. No decision has yet been made, but we will make a final decision by May 31. Thank you for your time and consideration.
