WHILE THE PASTOR IS AWAY…While Pastor Ray and Donna are out-of-town from Feb. 24 to March 6, please contact Rev. Doug Wilson for any pastoral needs. He can be reached at 493-7066 (home) or 261-9008 (cell). Holy Communion will be celebrated next on March 8th instead of the first  Sunday of the month.

PERRY EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY: Donations of food can be placed in the box in the Narthex or financial donations can be mailed to 6 North Main Street, PO Box 222.

STOP HUNGER NOW: The Upper New York Conference will once again package meals during the 2015 Annual Conference Session.  Email Kellie for the link to register or for more information.

YOUTH RETREAT: The 2015 UP!WORD experience April 24-26 at the Holiday Inn, Liverpool. See Kellie for more information or to register.

PRE-CONFERENCE BRIEFING: The Upper New York Conference will have a Pre-Conference Briefing at Asbury Camp & Retreat Center on May 2nd from 9-11 AM. This briefing will be preceded by a 30-minute coffee/snack and fellowship time.

ANY ONE INTERESTED in playing in the in the stage band for the PCS Musical Guys and Dolls please let Eric Kelly know. They are in need of a Alto Sax and Clarinet player.

LIFT IT UP will be Sunday March 1st.  The Praise team from Valley Chapel and their youth pastor will be leading the Praise and Worship time.  Activities include swimming, Wii and DDR, open gym, Partner Blast (a very fun, high energy variation of dodgeball) and group games. As always, pizza, snacks and water are available to purchase.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Older kids Sunday School will be held March 8 and March 22.

NEWSLETTER: The March Newsletter will go to print on Thursday. If you have any information that you would like to share with the congregation...please get it to me no later than Noon on Tuesday. There are still several copies of the February Newsletter in the Narthex for those who may not have picked up a copy. ANY feedback on how the Newsletter is now being distributed would be greatly appreciated.

MALARIA UPDATE: The World Health Organization’s World Malaria Report 2014 report says that the malaria mortality rate decreased by 47 percent worldwide between 2000 and 2013. The use of insecticide-treated bed nets is one important reason for the drop, the report said. The United Methodist Church’s Imagine No Malaria initiative has distributed more than 2.3 million bed nets, and is working towards its goal to raise $75 million by 2015 to dramatically reduce deaths and suffering in Africa. Please consider giving to the Imagine No Malaria campaign during Lent.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS: The Adult Sunday School Class meets Sunday mornings from 10-10:50 in the church library. They are discussing the book by J. Ellsworth Kalas, “Longing  to Pray—How the Psalms Teach Us to Talk With God.” New students always welcome.

STOP HUNGER NOW: The Upper New York Conference will once again package meals during the 2015 Annual Conference Session. There will be four meal-packaging shifts: two onThursday, May 28 and two on Friday, May 29. All four shifts will again take place at the War Memorial. CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS: United Methodist high school seniors and college students are invited to apply for two scholarships offered by the Upper New York Conference: the Conference Merit Awards and Lottie Brown Grants. Application forms and guidelines are available now at www.unyumc.org got to Missions & Ministry then College Ministry and then click on UNYAC 2015  Scholarship.

YOUTH RETREAT: The 2015 UP!WORD experience April 24-26 at the Holiday Inn, Liverpool, will be an opportunity for youth to participate in workshops, fun late night searching games and activities, and worship that will ultimately help them to "Search... God". Scheduled for special appearances are Christian musician Wayne Kerr, Inside Out, Bishop Mark J. Webb, several comedians, and a guest speaker from Syracuse University.
