In Memoriam

Hello Dear Friends and Relatives,

Wanted to let you know that Donna's dad, Al Bailey, died very peacefully last night around 10:30pm.  He was surrounded by his only son, Jim, and daughters Donna, Kathy and Nancy. plus his wife of nearly 65 years, Thelma.

He had a long 7 year fight with cancer and several other health issues that have been worsening over the past year. I am glad to say that his final 2 weeks were spent in the home he built 57 years ago, and has lived in ever since. He did not suffer much pain ass all we very occasionally gave him was Tylenol though we had other stronger drugs available.

The Hospice people have been wonderful as usual and we appreciate the service they provide to families in similar situations. A Memorial Service will be scheduled for early spring. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Blessings,  Ray and Donna Noell

administrative council

It is with great reluctance that the Administrative Council accepted Denise Stowell’s resignation as conference member/representative/lay delegate.  However, Pastor Ray has been in contact with Mary Jane Bryant who was interested in taking her place.  With a Meissel/Milhollen motion, Mary Jane was nominated and accepted.  Conference will take place on May 29, 30 and 31st.

Pastor Ray discussed the possibility of having an Ash Wednesday service on March 5th at 7:00.  Ashes will be available if desired.

New flags in the sanctuary were donated by John and Jane Miller.

Carol Preen said that a rug for the handicap access area is on its way.

It was reported that some progress has been made on the church directory.

Pastor Ray suggested it might be feasible for the Bishop to be able to attend our Bicentennial.  More will follow.

It was also reported that the possibility of having our church being a stand alone church next year is not probable. The next meeting will be Tuesday, March 11th.

(The full report of the Council Minutes may be seen in the Administrative Council tab in the Menu above.)

Donna's Dad in Hospice

Hello Friends and Family,
After MANY years of dealing with several health issues including bladder cancer, congestive heart failure, kidney malfunctions and others, all have agreed that Donna's dad, Al Bailey, will be under Hospice care at his home in Orchard Park, NY beginning tomorrow.  Today a hospital bed, oxygen, and other needed items are being delivered there. Donna will be staying w/him round the clock most days until he dies - which could be a few hours, days or weeks...only God knows.
Her brother and sister are coming in from out of town this weekend to share final thoughts with Al.
It is a very trying and emotional time for Al and all involved so we'd covet your prayers for him and his family.
Thanks and may God bless you all,
Ray and Donna
