Hello Dear Friends and Relatives,
Wanted to let you know that Donna's dad, Al Bailey, died very peacefully last night around 10:30pm. He was surrounded by his only son, Jim, and daughters Donna, Kathy and Nancy. plus his wife of nearly 65 years, Thelma.
He had a long 7 year fight with cancer and several other health issues that have been worsening over the past year. I am glad to say that his final 2 weeks were spent in the home he built 57 years ago, and has lived in ever since. He did not suffer much pain ass all we very occasionally gave him was Tylenol though we had other stronger drugs available.
The Hospice people have been wonderful as usual and we appreciate the service they provide to families in similar situations. A Memorial Service will be scheduled for early spring. Thank you for your support and prayers.

ReplyDeleteI want to express my sorrow for you on this day at the loss of your father and father-in-law. Grief is such genuine pain and God is keenly aware of our suffering. I pray that the strength and grace our Lord Jesus Christ will rest upon you in these hours and these days as you tread the path of loss and bereavement. My God grant you a sense of power to slowly heal and overcome and also to strengthen and fully appreciate the many years of memories. May His Grace be yours now and forever more.
