Sunday Morning Announcements 1-7-16

1). This Sunday is Soup-er Bowl Sunday!   Bring a CAN of soup to church for the food pantry this Sunday!

2). Reach Out: Community Mission Experience

Youth groups, churches, and families are invited to unite and be the hands and feet of God offering hope to the people of Wyoming County. Repair a porch, build a ramp, paint a wall, or visit with the elderly. Worship and fellowship together each evening at Asbury. Learn what it means to be in servant ministry. Enjoy Asbury's delicious and healthy meals with breakfast and dinner on site, and a picnic lunch. Please email info@asbury.org or call 585-237-5262 for more information and to receive an application. We are working with community agencies assessing needs in the area and have projects for both adults and youth.

3). Youth: 'Do Something' at CCYM's UP!WORD '16
Registration is now open for the Upper New York Conference Council on Youth Ministry's UP!WORD '16 to be held April 22-24 at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool. The theme for last year, "Searching God," helped youth better understand their relationship with God; this year's theme takes that understanding and suggests it is time to "Do Something" with it. "Do Something: Disciples' Edition" will provide youth and youth leaders with multiple opportunities to see how they can each do something as Christ's disciples. Click here to register.

4). Hello All, This is a link to the Batavia (NY) Daily News that has a nice little article in it about our trip to Central America. Just thought you might find it somewhat interesting. BTW, this is NOT sent to you to try and solicit monetary support so please do not interpret it that way. Prayers for all 20 of us on the trip would be appreciated, though...We ARE excited!
Blessings, Ray
