GIVING TUESDAY IS COMING ~ This year’s online giving campaign will be on Dec. 2. Last year on UMC #GivingTuesday, United Methodists collectively raised a record $6.5 million on line in through The Advance. United Methodists once again are invited to extend the spirit of giving thanks into the Advent season by participating in UMC #GivingTuesday. AFRICA 360 CHALLENGE: Bishop Mark Webb has issued an “Africa 360 Challenge” that each congregation in Upper NY raises at least $1000 between now and the next year’s annual conference to help reach the goal of contributing $1 million to the “Imagine No Malaria” campaign. As a congregation that raised over $1000 for Heifer International this spring, how will we respond to the Bishop’s Challenge? Let’s go for it!
ANGELS TO ANGELS: You are invited by the Church World Service (CWS) to become an angel by sending your own message to the women and children who are seeking asylum while being detained at the Artesia Family Residential Center in New Mexico. Almost 700 mothers and children fled the violence in Central America and have had little contact with the world outside.
